Cartier Tortue Multi Time Zone

Cartier Tortue Multifuseaux duo
Like the multifuseaux (multi-time zone) references presented in the Calibre de Cartier collection last year, Cartier Fine Watchmaking presents another world time this year, the Cartier Tortue Multifuseaux.  As you probably recall, “typical” World time models such as those offered by Girard-Perregaux, Patek and others have a disc which covers the periphery of the dial with names of various cities representing each time zone.  However on this model it is on the (left) side of the case.  This is a really attractive watch, offered in both rose and white gold case at a price of 29,500 EUR and 31,600 EUR, respectively.  More looks, below.

This watch is at its essence a dual time watch with world time function.

The dual-level dial has a lacquered representation of the world, with home time being on the lower half of the dial.  Notice that it runs from 6 to 6; the indicator hand will show either sun or moon to distinguish am or pm.
The Breguet style hands mark the local time/second time zone; they are set via the pusher a 2 o’clock.  They also coordinate with the cities disc on the side of the case (shown above).
