Picard Cadet, the re-launch (at Geneva Time Exhibition)

More than 100 years after. this year celebrates the re-launch of the PicardCadet brand and its exclusive range of quality wristwatches for men andwomen.
Geneva, January 2013. Picard Cadet began in 1910 in Geneva, when the jeweler Jules Picard Cadet founded the company. Fascinated by the art of watch making, Monsieur Cadet turned his attention and skills towards creating beautiful and unique timepieces.

Though facing a crowded market in Geneva, Picard Cadet quickly made a name for refined quality workmanship. The company expanded and had by the 1950s a number of boutiques in the centre of Geneva and exported globally.

M. Cadet passed away in 1965, and the company closed in 1967.

The new owners have re-launched the company in recognition of the immense history and beauty represented by name Picard Cadet. The founder’s legacy of excellence and originality - together with sophisticated watch making skills -continues to embody our work and is immediately recognizable in our latest range of watches.

Each watch design started as a jeweler’s sketch reflecting an eye for enduring fashion, based on long experience and specialized knowledge. His vision was refined by a Swiss designer, who captured the audacity of the original sketch and created a watch as beautiful as the finest piece of jewelry.

Each piece is assembled by hand taking into account the strictest quality control measures that are typical of our brand and of Geneva watches. Twelve models complete the new Picard Cadet Collection for men and ladies, all of which incorporate the eternally stylish design of the classic Tonneau Case design.

To wear a Picard Cadet is to carry with you a world of intricate beauty, sophisticated skill, and a feeling of trusted tradition. It is our respect for both the past and future that creates life, time, emotion.

The new Picard Cadet Collection will be appearing at the Geneva Time Exhibition (GTE) at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (Geneva) from the 20th to the 24th January, 2013
