Jubilee ref. 5046520
Jaeger-LeCoultre presents a very large number of new pieces this
year, led by a Jubilee collection dedicated to its founder, the “Tribute
to Antoine LeCoultre”, as as the Grande Maison celebrates its 180-year
anniversary. Starting with this Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande
Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique, an exceptional timepiece reflecting a
combination of the historic heritage of 19th-century watch models and
cutting-edge technology. Housed in a platinum new case… a closer look,
below.

Its perpetual calendar indications are legibly displayed the dial —
along with moon phases, the perpetual calendar displays day, month, date
at 3, 12 and 9 o’clock positions, respectively. Above the flying
tourbillon is the small seconds.

The watch is equipped with the new Jaeger-LeCoultre 985 automatic
movement — this model is the first to combine a flying tourbillon with a
cylindrical balance-spring, thus guaranteeing an exceptional level of
timekeeping performance.

Note also the 22-carat gold oscillating
weight — on it Jaeger-LeCoultre has painstakingly reproduced the gold
medal won at the 1889 Paris Universal Exposition in recognition of the
Valle de Joux manufacture’s expertise and innovation. Nice touch.

All in all, a timepiece of great precision, combining exceptional complications with an expressive aesthetic.
This watch may be purchases alone, or as part of an identically numbered 3-watch Jubilee set which includes Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 Jubilee and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Jubilee.
